My Story
As it happens with many of us, a mid-life crisis makes us take a pause and look at life from first principles.
Does the professional life I chose in my youth really align with my goals for the next 30 years? Does it ignite enough curiosity and desire in me to make an impact?
As I struggled with these questions, I have embarked on a journey of mental healing as well as improving my physical health. Psychology and sports have been two consistent and very important aspects that have made me a better and more impactful person in the last 5 years. Also, during my life, much of my attitude has come from training as a Badminton player for 6 years in childhood, which is best summed up by the following quote:
“Your child’s success or lack of success in sports does not indicate what kind of parent you are.
But having an athlete who is coachable, respectful, a great teammate, mentally tough, resilient, and tries their best is a direct reflection of your parenting.”
The above leads me to believe that Athlete Mindset is not useful just on the field, but it is also important at Workplace, in our Personal lives and generally makes us a better person.
Considering this, I am studying the field of Sports Psychology to learn more about its scope, practice, and on a mission to bring Athlete Mindset to Workplace.
